Bodegas Manzanos is now in it's 5th generation of winemaking and are a prominent family in the region. They own two wineries in Rioja, including the oldest winery in the city of Haro, the traditional centre for winemaking in the region.
This Joven (young) blend is comprised of Tempranillo 60% and Garnacha 40%
Intense cherry-red color. Aromas of woodland red fruit and licorice aromas. Soft supple blackberry fruit and silky a texture follow on the palette. It is well balanced with hints of violets and spice on a mid-long finish.
Note that fermentation is conducted in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature with three weeks of maceration. There is no oak treatment which lends this wine a real freshness.
Pair with roast poultry, meat casseroles and grilled fish.
Suitable for vegetarian and vegan wine drinkers.
