Art Series Chardonnay hails from the estate's most prized blocks (20 and 22) Winemaker Tim Lovett blends in fruit from other late developing parcels, contributing to the wine's longevity . 100% of the juice is fermented in new French oak barriques, with regular lees stirring. It spends 11 months in barrel prior to blending, fining and bottling.
Purity and clarity are the hallmarks of this wine. Woven lime curd, poached pear, lemon flesh and white nectarine feature at the forefront. This vintage breathes energy with lifted Chinese star jasmine , lime blossom and ginger. The complexity of cinnamon, toasted hazelnuts, nougat, panna cotta, flint and graphite lie in the background. The palate is bright and energetic, with laced mineral acidity. Bursting lemon, lime and pear skin meet oyster shell and saline notes, providing a precise corridor and direction.
