Bachelet-Monnot Santenay Blanc, Cote de Beaune, Burgundy 2019
Sold Out£42.00
Though Bachelet-Monnot has operated since 2005, brothers Marc and Alex Bachelet’s first Santenay Blanc was released in 2012. The wine is drawn from four parcels of mature vines that average 30 years of age. The key terroir is the lieu-dit of Les Bras, which is a continuation of the Maranges Premier Cru of La Fussière. These vineyards are exceptionally chalky and contribute to a wine of intense, rocky minerality. The 2020 vintage is exemplary and should continue drinking beautifully well into the decade.
